LiveStory

This page is to help  you understand when there’s a live story in progress.

If there is a logo at the top of the page that states: “Live Story in Progress”, click there go start to read.

Back in 2006, Sylvia was prompted to write her first erotic novel, Mistaken Identity as a writer\’s prompt in a yahoogroup.

The short story soon turned into a wonderful sensual novelette that readers couldn\’t get enough of.

She had to move it to the blog, because the owner of the grouop said there was too many posts on one subject. That\’s when she opened this blog to gather the readers who openingly commented as the story progressed.

When the story was through, the readers demanded more and more!

Live Stories posted to the blog were: Mistaken Identity, Baby Doll, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!, Red Heart, Dark Facade, Deceptive Nights, Teach Me To Love, Tanner\’s Devil, Secrets, Lies & Family Ties Sin\’s Iniquity, Sex Weed, His Substitute Wife…My Sister, Sexstasy.

(all of these can now be found either in paperback or ebook at the author\’s website).

NEW READERS PLEASE READ: Sylvia Hubbard produces these romance suspense/ sensual noir stories mostly from the top of her head. She tries to post at least three times a week, but there is a warning that she can’t be bought for the ending (unless you’re a big publisher and just want the story) and do not call her phone in the middle of the night begging for the rest of the story. There is interaction throughout the story between the writer and readers (meaning she’ll answer any misunderstandings in the story), but no threats to tie her to the computer have worked. (She’s been doing this for the past two years almost and only have had to take out two restraining orders, LOL.)

One of her readers and an author, Suprina Frazier, helped her explained the benefits of live blogging:

1. You get feedback about who hates what character and why. That’s gotta be helpful when deciding to do spin-off books.

2. You get a glimpse into which storylines are going to be the most popular. Are more people pheening for interracial stories? May/December romances? Knowing the answers to those questions had help with decision-making about new books. (Remember how one of your (tall?) readers pleasantly complained about your heroines always being so short? lol. I loved that honestly. It definitely made me add a few inches and even some extra pounds to my own heroines to better represent real people.)

3. Finally, you get to see how your readers interact with one another. This gives you clues as to which of your other books they might like and just haven’t read yet.

(Thanks Sup!)

We hope to see you on the blog! And welcome.

I just finished reading “Protected: The Mysterious Mr. Black”. Part 1-10. The story has gotten better as it progressed. I don’t like the horrible things that has happened to Jen, but I enjoy reading the story. Jen should press charges against Jesse. Jesse and the others should go to jail or be killed off. I’m looking forward to the next installment.

I’m feeling a little Heart or should I say… King Heart should handle this matter.
